What costs come on top of the price?
When buying in Belgium you typically pay: registration duty (2% to 12.5% depending on region and situation), notary fees (fee + deed costs, roughly 2% to 5%), and mortgage costs if you borrow.
Together these extras can easily reach 10% to 20% of the purchase price. That is usually the amount you cannot borrow and must cover from your own funds.
